Solar fabric also has the unique ability to offer daytime privacy while still allowing for visibility to the outdoors. Minimum distance required for installation on ceiling: 3 3/4”
Inside mount ceiling installation: Do not make any deductions. The manufacturer will be sure to deduct for a perfect fit. The width of the panels will be approximately 1/2’’ less than the actual measurement to account for the mechanism.
Outside mount wall installation: the width of the headrail or cassette valance will be the measurement provided in your order and the panels will be approximately 5/8” less on each side. If, for example, the space to be covered is 60”, it is recommended to order 64” (being an additional 2” on each side) to ensure that the entire frame is covered, avoiding any gaps that would allow the light to shine through.

The Double Roller Solar shade 5% & 10% is a light filtering fabric that works primarily to block 90-95% of UV rays and control the light and heat entering your home. During the day this shade offers little privacy, but provides visibility to the outside however. Pairing it with the blackout panel ensures nighttime privacy, such that the opera dual solar shade provides everything you need in a window treatment!
