Minimum distance required for installation on the ceiling: 3 3/4”

Inside ceiling mount installation: Do not make any deductions. The manufacturer will be sure to deduct for a perfect fit. The width of the panels will be approximately 1/2’’ less than the actual measurement to account for the mechanism.
Outside wall mount installation: the width of the headrail or cassette valance will be the measurement provided in your order and the panels will be approximately 5/8” less on each side. If, for example, the space to be covered is 60”, it is recommended to order 64” (being an additional 2” on each side) to ensure that the entire frame is covered, avoiding any gaps that would allow the light to shine through.
