Inside mount installation : do not make any deductions. The manufacturer will be sure to deduct for a perfect fit. The length of the vanes will be approximately 1/2’’ less than the actual measurement to account for the mechanism.
Outside mount installation: the length of the cassette valance will be the measurement provided in your order and the vanes will be approximately 5/8” less on each side. If, for example, the space to be covered is 60”, it is recommended to order 64” (being an additional 2” on each side) to ensure that the entire frame is covered, avoiding any gaps that would allow the light to shine through.

These blinds arrived quickly and installation was a esay. I was worried about the accurate measuring as mine were inside window and had to be right on. If you measure the way they say it all works out perfect. My pvc vertical blinds are perfect. Would order again soon.
